Grandmothers Buttermilk Cornbread

This is the most Yummiest thing ever!!! My whole family loves it!
Cornbread


1/2 C butter

2/3 c sugar

2 eggs

1 c buttermilk

1/2 tsp baking soda

1 c cornmeal

1 c flour

1/2 salt


Heat oven to 375


Grease a 8x8 square pan


Melt butter in a sauce pan over low heat. Stir in sugar and quickly add eggs and beat until well blended. In a separate bowl combine Buttermilk with baking soda then stir into mixture in sauce pan. Stir in cornmeal, flour and salt. A few lumps will remain. Pour into pan.


Bake for 30-40 min
