Melt In your Mouthy Pot Roast

Now this is one of my most favorite recipes. It is from a lady in my home ward, Sister Humphrey, and I am so excited to share it with you. :) (I have changed it a little so that it works in a Crock pot)

1(4-5lb.) roast (any kind)
1 Tbsp. cooking oil or butter
1 pkg. dry onion soup mix
1 can cream of mushroom soup
2 small bay leaves
1 onion sliced
Salt to taste
Salt meat and sprinkle with dry onion soup mix on top. Pour oil in crock pot. Place onions all over bottom. Place meat on top of the onions. Pour mushroom soup over top meat and onions and place in bay leaves.
Cook until done. Remove meat and place on a plate and cover with foil for 10 min. pour leftover in to a sauce pan. Add Corn starch until thickens, it Makes the best gravy for the meat.
